Kick the ball, then mostly baseball rules.
This playground classic is another twist on the basic rules of baseball. Players line up in the usual formation on a diamond-shaped field. The pitcher rolls a large rubber ball along the ground toward the “batter” who tries to kick the ball away from opposing players, then run around the bases to score points. Opposing players try to get the batter out by catching the ball before it hits the ground, tagging the batter with ball in hand, or by hitting the batter with a thrown ball.
